Investing - Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumption, Real Estate and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa declined 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Raizen SA Preferred, which rose 5.47% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Companhia Brasileira De Distribuica added 2.56% or 0.10 points to end at 4.00 and Cosan SA Industria e Comercio was up 2.33% or 0.17 points to 7.47 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cvc Brasil ON, which fell 4.50% or 0.10 points to trade at 2.12 at the close. BRF SA declined 4.35% or 0.86 points to end at 18.91 and Magazine Luiza SA was down 3.88% or 0.36 points to 8.91.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 528 to 435 and 56 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.83% to 26.30.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.61% or 22.37 to $3,675.67 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.92% or 0.57 to hit $62.44 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 3.13% or 11.70 to trade at $385.35 .
USD/BRL was up 0.18% to 5.42, while EUR/BRL rose 0.53% to 6.38.
