Dollar losses against the euro and other main rivals accelerated sharply Thursday following President Donald Trump's tariffs salvo that analysts said risked sending the US economy into recession.
The European single currency reached as high as $1.1144 following its biggest gain in a decade, as the greenback tumbled 1.4 percent versus the British pound.
