The Hong Kong stock market opened higher on Tuesday, following overnight gains on Wall Street.
In the opening minutes, the Hang Seng Index rose 41.36 points, or 0.2 percent, to 20,468.29.
All three major US stock indices hit new closing records on Monday, with the S&P 500 gaining 0.1 percent to 6,001.35. The Nasdaq also gained 0.1 percent to 19,298.77, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.7 percent to 44,293.13.
