6th February 2025 - (Hong Kong) The Hang Seng Index opened with a modest gain of one point, or 0.01%, reaching 20,598 points. Meanwhile, the National Enterprises Index remained flat at 7,566 points, while the Technology Index fell by three points, or 0.07%, settling at 4,926 points.
In the technology sector, Meituan saw a rise of 1.26%, and Xiaomi Group increased by 0.38%. However, JD Group experienced a decline of 1.15%, Alibaba fell by 0.62%, and Tencent dropped by 0.38%.
In the financial sector, Hong Kong Exchanges rose by 0.65%, and HSBC Holdings gained 0.37%. Conversely, AIA Group saw a decrease of 1.89%, and China Ping An declined by 0.69%.
