Nikkei Rises 1.1%, Led by Shipping, Financial Stocks

Japanese stocks are broadly higher as overnight declines in crude oil prices ease fears about energy costs amid the Middle East conflict.
Shipping, financial and pharmaceutical stocks are leading the gains.
Kawasaki Kisen is up 5.6%, SBI Holdings gains 4.4% and Daiichi Sankyo is 4.0% higher.
Investors are closely watching any developments in the Middle East and supply issues of petrochemical products.
The Nikkei Stock Average is up 1.1% at 54327.95.
