Brazil stocks higher at close of trade; Bovespa up 0.26%

Investing.com - Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Real Estate, Consumption and Public Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa rose 0.26% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Magazine Luiza SA ( BVMF :MGLU3), which rose 7.86% or 0.58 points to trade at 7.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Vamos SA ( BVMF :VAMO3) added 5.80% or 0.29 points to end at 5.29 and Cvc Brasil ON ( BVMF :CVCB3) was up 4.55% or 0.09 points to 2.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were JBS SA ( BVMF :JBSS3), which fell 2.77% or 0.93 points to trade at 32.61 at the close. WEG SA ( BVMF :WEGE3) declined 2.51% or 1.35 points to end at 52.45 and BRF SA ( BVMF :BRFS3) was down 2.50% or 0.50 points to 19.52.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 542 to 351 and 47 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 1.59% to 28.84.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.36% or 10.50 to $2,911.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.95% or 0.67 to hit $71.38 a barrel, while the May US coffee C contract fell 4.36% or 19.15 to trade at $407.40 .
USD/BRL was up 0.13% to 5.71, while EUR/BRL rose 0.10% to 5.99.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 106.61.
